Abstract: During 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 winter seasons, two field experiments were conducted in Sakha Agricultural Research station to investigate the efficacy of twelve weed control treatments against dodder and clover productivity as well as determine yield losses due to dodder infestation. Strike results were obtained indicated that dodder infestation by 577 and 688 g/m2 reduced clover yield by 11.12 and 10.90 t/ha for second and third cutting, respectively compared to non-infested plots. Over mean of both 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 seasons, data confirmed the effectiveness of Kerb 50% (pronamide) at 2.38 kg/ha, either surface applied after 1st cutting or soil incorporated; Amex 48% (butralin) at 5.95 L/ha, either surface applied after 1st cutting or soil incorporated and Roundup 48% (glyphosate) at 178 cc/ha against dodder in clover. These treatments reduced dodder biomass by 91, 88, 87, 87 and 86%, respectively at second cutting and reduced dodder biomass by 92, 89, 87, 86 and 86 at third cutting. Consequently, these treatments improved clover yield by 10.85, 8.96, 8.00, 8.06 and 7.21 t/ha, respectively at second cutting and by 10.65, 8.53, 7.91, 7.91 and 7.91 t/ha, respectively at third cutting. There was no phytotoxic effect happened by theses treatments. Manual weeding was not feasible under these heavy infestation cases.
