The spider theridion Egyptium fawzy and eler-ksousy as biological control agent on cotton aphid, aphis gossypii glover

Abstract: The life cycle of Theridion egyptium (Araneida: Theridiidae)on the third nymphal stage of the cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover (Homoptera: Aphididae) was investigated under laboratory conditions of 26ْْC and 60-70% R.H. In this study, duration of the spider life cycle was 40.2 and 39.1 days for female and male respectively. The food consumption of both spider female and male was 156.3 and 147.6 prey individuals, respectively, under the same previous conditions. Description of some biological aspects, mating, feeding, behaviour and oviposition were recorded.
