Determination of antigenic variation among strains
of
flexibacter columnaris isolated from freshwater fish.

Abstract: The present study was carried out on forty fish of Oreochromis إنجليزى:
niloticus and Clarias lazera (twenty for each) collected from river Nile,
at Moneeb, Giza Government.*Three isolates of flexibacter columnaris were isolated fromO. niloticus as well as 5 isolates from C.lazera.Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(Sds-Page) was done on the recovered isolates from both hosts for determination of their antigenic variation.*F.columnaris isolated from both O.niloticus and from C. lazera showed three clear hands between39.59-50.13 KD, and that isolated from C. lazera showed a characteristic band at 19.24 KD
