Occurrence of swine enzootic pneumonia (SEP) in Egypt

Abstract: One hundred ninety four samples from the respiratory tract of pigs yielded 110 mycoplasma strains including 44 nose, 27 trachea, 6 bronchi, 24 pneumonic lungs and 9 associated lymph nodes.
Gross and histopathological findings of pneumonic lungs of pigs were similar to that of swine enzootic pneumonia (SEP).It is concluded that the disease occurs in Egypt.
