Study on the slaughtered animals in riyadh

Abstract: The study revealed that about 28% of animals slaughtered in was in Riyadh abattoir.
During 1988 (1,144,722) heads were slaughtered in these abattoirs, mostly were males (99.9%) and of imported species(89.7%). The majority were slaughtered at modern abattoir (61.3%), Al-Hayer (32.5%),then Al-Nassim (6.2%). The percentage of camels in these abattoirs were respectively ( 90.7, 7.9, 1.4%0,of cattle ( 95.3, 4.5, 0.2%), of sheep ( 61.1, 33, 5.9 %),while of goats were in Al-Hayer (61.9%), Al-Nassim (27.8%) and the modern abattoir (10.3%).
The number of popular kitchens, wedding-palaces and Mandi – Kitchens was investigated to calculate the unregistered slaughtered animals. Some recommendations were discussed.
