Some studies on metacercarial infection in Schilbe mystis freshwater Nile fish at Sohag province , Egypt. IV-Experimental infection in squabs feed with viable metacercariae of Prohemistomum vivax

Abstract: Isolated viable metacercariae were submitted to prove the viability and infective power. The isolated viable metacercariae were collected from Nile freshwater fish Schilbe mystis, the constant number of viable metacercariae were fed to one week old squabs. The recovery rate was 6.7%. The diagnostic trematode recovered two weeks post infection is Prohemistomum vivax, 1892
