Evaluation of outer membrane protein and sonicated extract vaccines for the immunization against pasterlla multocida

Abstract: the present study was conducted to evaluate the immunongenic value of the prepared outer membrane protein (OMP) and sonicated extract (SE) vaccines.OMP and SE from pasteurella multocide serotype B:6 were extracted and characterized using sodium dodecylsulphate polycrylamide gel electrophoresis SDS-PAGE. OMP of P.multocida B:6 expressed different mobilities identified in the 98 KDa , 76KDa,50KDa and 26 KDa molecular that polypeptides of MW 98 KDa ,76KDa and 50 KDa were the major immunogens.
the comparison between the protective immunity of SE and OMP vaccines by measuring humoral immune response and vaccination challenge inoculation system were done. sear collected from rabbits immunized with OMP showed in antibody titer using ELISA as compared to SE immunized rabbits than SE vaccin (P<0.05) using homologous challenge . However , more study should be conducted under field condition to evaluate the efficacy of vaccine.
