Biological control Campylobacter species by using Bacillus thuringiensis

Abstract: Bacillus thuringiensis (B.T) varities namely :Thuringiensis , Israelensis and kurstaki were yested for the resistance of campylobacter strains (c.fetus subspecies venerealis , c.fetus subspecies fetus C. Jejuni and C.sputorum , subspecies bubulus) in vitro .12x10 6 colony forming units (C.F.U) of B.t of each tupe were used up to 10 serial dilution of each compylobacter strains from each dilution , 0.5 ml of 72 hrs thiol broth cultures of campylobacter strains containing 25x 10 7 CFU were inoculated and incubated at 37 c in microaerophilic condition on the other hand , BT. VAR KURSTAKI HAD no inhibiting effect (resistant) on c.f.ssp venerealis , c.Jejuni and c.sp Ssp Bubulus at all concentration used while inhibited the growth of C.f. ssp fetus only at higher concentration (3x10 6 :12x10 6
