Biochemical and pathological studies on trypanosomiasis among catfish "clarias gariepenus"

Abstract: Thepresent study was designed to investigate trypanoso miasis among one of native fresh water fish breed in Egypt namely cat fish the fish were examined for the presence of trypanosoma in the blood . the main clinical signs of infected fish with trypanosoma were emaciation with thickening of tile trabeculae in spleen. while in kidney necrobiotie changes of epithelial lining of renal tubules with vacuolation of glomeruli as well as hemorrhages were recorded.
