The Second Research Lumpy Skin Diseases As A Field Problem Of Cattle In El- Sharkia Governorate

Abstract: In 2005, clinical signs of skin lesions on cattle referring to lumpy skin disease appeared in many cattle farms at Sharkia Governorate. The observed signs were pyrexia, anorexia, dysagalactia, emaciation, enlarged lymph nodes, edema of skin & nodules on the skin mostly appeared as circumscribed, flat tapped, firm nodules which may cover the whole of the animal body. The morbidity rate was 60% & the mortality rat was 5%. The viral was identified by serum neutralization test with specific antiserum. The haematological & biochemical changes as well as the necropsy & histopathological findings were reported & discussed. The clinical signs, virological & pathological investigation will quarantine an accurate diagnosis of the disease.
