The Role of Small Projects in the Development of Fayum Governorate

Unemployment and low per capita real income considered one of the most serious problems in the Egyptian economy. They have severe effects on the economy and social safety. Thus, giving attentions to Small Projects can solve such problems. However, some problems and difficulties facing the Small Projects, i.e., financing, ignoring some banks in dealing with that vital sector, the difficulty of different inputs such as lack of information about, markets, technical, skilled workers, marketing, sufficient resources, suitable locations and the production inputs.
This study aims to knowing and assessing the role of Small Projects concerning the development of Fayoum Governorate. It also aims, in particular to the following objectives:
(1) Assessing the main features of the Small Projects under study in Fayoum Governorate, concerning labor technology, capitals, production, financing and marketing.
(2) Recognizing the ability of such Small Projects under study to reduce unemployment, measurement of labor incomes and net profit of each Enterprise.
(3) Studying of net return of Small Enterprise in Fayoum Governorate
(4) Studying the role of some governmental and non-governmental organizations that work in development and financing the Small Projects in Fayoum Governorate.
(5) Determination both production and cost functions to measure the effacing for such Enterprise.
(6) introducing the most serious problems that face such Small Enterprise, in order to find the appropriate solutions for such problems.
