The Economic Efficiency of some Small Agricultural Projects with Its Problems In Gharbia Governorate

Abstract: The problem of research is the disproportionate number of small projects with the unemployment generated by the increase in the number of graduates, the area of the study Al-Gharbia Governorate in 2018, The results of the data showed that the sources of funding for the projects of manufacturing white cheese in the category of financing from the (Social Fund) by about 37.5% of the total sample, while the owners of honey bees concentrated according to the source of funding in the category (Commercial Bank) by about 30.8% of the total sample, while the sources of funding for foreign chicken fattening and calves fattening projects were concentrated in the category of financing from the Social Fund (36.7%) and 35.3% of the total sample respectively. Provided for projects where concentrated between (50-100) thousand pounds to Hroat white cheese and fattening projects of foreign chicken manufacturing by about 37.5%, 36.7% of the total study sample, respectively
As for honey bees projects, they were concentrated in the loan category of (10-50) thousand pounds by about 69.2% of the total sample, and for the sources of the guidance of the return, it was found that most owners of the projects of manufacturing white cheese and honey bees and calves fattening projects direct the return of their projects to develop the project, where they accounted for 58.3%, 73.1%, 47.1% of the total sample. The study showed that the owners of fattening chickens projects their concentration in the category of (spending on the family)by about 46.7% of the total sample .
The economic efficiency of the study projects showed that there were differences between the projects in terms of the return on the invested pound. The study projects varied in terms of the profit margin of the product, where the highest value in the projects of honey production of wood cells by about 21.63%, and the lowest value in the projects of fattening foreign chicken by about 5.02%, The results indicate that the problems related to production, marketing, finance and lending problems, and the problems of rising labor prices by about 55.5%, 47.25% and 44.75%. 38.5%, respectively. In the forefront of the participants' proposals to solve these problems, the necessity of supporting these projects through adopting serious economic policies to reduce production costs, In addition to the need to reduce the periodic installment paid for loans and facilitate access procedures and reduce collateral, and the need to solve marketing problems through the participation of the Social Fund in the process of marketing products, and provide training courses for those wishing to establish projects to raise their efficiency and increase their competitiveness in the markets, and these projects must be followed up to ensure seriousness in performance And develop and benefit from the successful experiences of them, It was also found that small projects contribute to improving the economic level of respondents and raise the educational level of the family and increase their ability to develop projects, where it was found that there is a substantial substantive relationship between these variables and income generated by the project, which indicates that these projects actually contribute to rural development.
The study recommends the following:
1. Supporting these projects through the adoption of serious economic policies to reduce production costs, Facilitate loan procedures and reduce collateral.
2. Participation of the Social Fund in the process of marketing products through the establishment of a special marketing department whose task is to establish and manage permanent exhibitions to market the products of these projects inside and outside the province.
3. Developing the role of the financial institutions in providing the necessary and appropriate technical support to the projects to raise the efficiency of their products and increase their competitiveness to the possibility of exporting them abroad.
4. These projects should be pursued to ensure seriousness in performance and development, and to benefit from the successful experiences of them in order to ensure their effective participation in sustainable development.
