The poultry production sector represents the largest share in the animal production sector at the national level, as the value of poultry production amounted to 62.2 billion pounds, representing about 33.1% of the total value of animal production, which amounted to about 187.8 billion pounds in 2018.
The research problem is the decrease in the actual production capacity of table eggs production farms from the maximum operating capacity of this sector, the research aims to study the economics of poultry production of table egg production farms at the Gharbia governorate through a stratified research sample of the community of egg table production in the governorate.
The results of the economic evaluation of table eggs production farms in the research sample 2019 season in Gharbia governorate showed that the ratio of benefits to costs to table egg production farms is about 1.42, which means that table egg production farms projects have achieved net profits, and that the revenues cover the project costs, while the turnover rate of the total assets of farms Table eggs 6.8 times, and these rates reflect project performance. While the ratio of the net return to the total return reflects about 29.37% for table eggs production farms with the merit of the project and the efficiency of the management component, while the net return amounted to 395.78 thousand pounds per farm for the production of table eggs and is a rewarding return.
The research recommends some suggestions that contribute to raising the poultry sector's merit to produce table eggs, they are:
1- Work to provide foreign breeds, which are characterized by high productivity of table eggs.
2- Encouraging educators to invest in the poultry production sector by providing them with the necessary financing with simple interest through activating the role of agricultural policies in this field.
3- Providing production requirements at reasonable prices, especially fodder and energy sources are providing trained technical workers in the field of poultry industry.
