Demand for Fish in Egypt

The fish sources either they are nature or cultivated consider one of the main that realize part of the national aim because the fish products consider one of the important sources to face the increased foods gap between production consumption due to the decrease in production grow rates in the confused consumption. The deficiency increased in the local production from the animal proteins transformations , and the production increase rates, the government plans aims to realize the self-sufficiency from the food goods as possible and when we studied the Egyptian individual share average from the available consumption of food from the period (1990-2006), we see on increasing in the evadible consumption amount average from the fish from 455 thousand tons in 1990to about 1174 thousand tons in 2006 due to the increase in the peoples numbers, therefore the individual share average of the fish increase about 8.8 kilogram in 1990 to about 16.6 kilogram in 2006. the individual share of fish in Egypt consider in decreasing state compared to the other countries. The trying to develop the fish wealth as a modern direction to increase the individual share average from the animal protein and fish protein as a traditional animal food alternate so it is important to develop fish resources as a main activity which help in increase the national production. the study aims to show the main characters to produce marketing, consumption of food in Egypt to offer some of the economic indicators in front of planning organization in Egypt to develop this important sector of the national economic. The important result of the study was that the monthly fish production from the natural fisheries reach its minimum about the monthly average due to monthly seasonal from January to August and the Egyptian fish production reach its maximum in October, November, December. The study show that the marketing services performance added formal, placing, timing benefit for the fish. the study show that the main factor which effect on the fish consumption is cash income , fish prices , alternate good prices. the study show the fish foods gap and its develop in Egypt, self-sufficiency percentage and the great difference between fish local production and the available of consumption also it show the effecting factors on the fish consumption , its social , economic factors, also it show income variables and its effect on the fish consumption , fish prices , alternate goods prices . the study show that the fish prices consider low compared by the other protein prices and its effect on consumption also the study show fish faring trade and the factors e effect on it also expenditure flexibility function estimation for the fish demand and its alternates in Egypt , and fish expenditures functions estimation and its alternate by use the double logarithmic stat for the logarithmic angel while take in its account the expenditure rate decreasing on the goods through the total expenditure increasing , and we see capacity increasing for the consumption compared with the family budget for the (1999/2000) , (2004/2005). From the study of the expenditure, income, and consumption we see that the fish consider inflexibility goods the study show standard analysis for the demand on fish and alternate goods in Egypt by use the Rotterdam model and Ideal Demand model on the individual demand on fish and alternate goods in Egypt and we see that the fish consumption consider see that the fish consider inflexibility goods.
