Although the economic importance of the Medical and Aromatically Plants and the expectation of its share in exportation ,The crop area of these plants still very limited (63.3 Thousand feddans) during(2001-2006). Hence this research aims at recognize the production and Exportation efficiency for these crops in order to raise these efficiency.
Results of the research showed that most of these crops cultivated as winter crops and there is tendency to cultivate it in the new land.
The study showed that there are seven main crops ,its cultivated area reprecent 70.72% of total cropped area of Medical and Aromatically Plants: They are: (Coriander, Carcadeh,Worm wood ,Cumin, Bardacoch, Aromatic and Caraway)
Supply response for Coriander showed that the main factors affecting the cultivated area in the current year are: farm price, relative net revenue compared with Kamon in the preceding year with determinant coefficient equal 0.51.
The study also showed that more than 97% of exported value of the Medical and Aromatically Plants during(2004-2006) concentrated in Worm wood, Bardacoch ,Carcadeh and Mint .
The Geographic distribution of the main exported Medical and Aromatically Plants showed that about 74.5 of exported quantity of Worm wood concentrated in Germany, Spain, Holland and USA. About 48.5% of exported quantity of Bardacoch concentrated in Germany, Boland and Holland. About 48.23% of exported quantity of Bardacoch concentrated in Russia, Latvia and Fenland. About 69.1% of exported quantity of Mint concentrated in Germany, United Kingdom and Spain.
The study showed that the most important factors effecting the exported quantities of Worm wood in the important foreign markets are: exchange rates , the crop production in the same year and exported price for the preceding year.and these factors was different according crop and country.
The elasticity of price demand of Medical and Aromatically Plants indicated that reduced price policy for Mint in UK market did not affect the total revenue and it should follow policy depend upon quality , follow balance policy for Worm wood depend upon price policy and quality in Spain market and follow policy for Bardacoch in Holland market and Carcadeh in Russian market depend upon prices has its positive effects in increasing the total revenue.
