Analytical Study of Agricultural Trade Relations between Egypt and The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

The study aims to identify the economic variables that control the Association of Southeast Asian Nations( ASEAN) as well as the inter trade relations between Egypt and ASEAN in order to strengthen relations and expand trade between the Egyptian market and ASEAN the markets, morefore competitive indicators for the most important Egyptian agricultural exports to ASEAN countries are meesured.
The research problem concenliates on the decline of the Egyptian agricultural exports to ASEAN countries which are put as 1.5% of Egypt's total agricultural exports in 2013, thir requires the need to identify reasons for such dechinse especially in light of the non-commercial constraints faced by the Egyptian agricultural exports (health and environmental) EU sestriclions. The study period was divided into two periods (2008-2010) representing a period of political and economic stability in Egypt, and the years (2011-2013) representing a period of instability in Egypt to identify the change between them.
Studying the most important economic featchures of the ASEAN countries shows that, their population represents about 8.5% of the total population in the world in 2012, the results showed that this black dominates about 3.09 % of the world gross domestic product for the same year aganist 0.36 % for Egypt during the same year. With regard to the per capita of gross domestic product the result shoshow that the rise of this share within each of Singapore, Malaysia compared to the rest of other countries while the share in Egypt were similar to that in Indonsia. the results also showed that the added value of agricultural sector was similer to that in Egypt and Indonesia. The results also indicated that the total exports of the Asean countries collectively constitute about 7.2% of the total value of total exports in 2012, and while the estimated value of the total imports of the ASEAN ware about 6.8% of the total value of world imports. Singapore came in the front of ASEAN countries to attract foreign investments, which was put as61 billion dollars in 2012, with while that in Egypt was estimated at about 2.8 billion dollars in the same year,
Examining the trade balance between Egypt and ASEAN countries, the results showed that the volume of the overall trade between Egypt and the ASEAN represented about 3.5%, 3.2% of the total volume of the overall trade during (2010-2008, 2011-2013), reviewing the both sides of the balance of trade between Egypt and the ASEAN, showing that the value of Egyptian exports to ASEAN represent about 1.5%, 1.1% of the Egyptian total value during (2008-2010, 2011-2013), while the value of the total imports of Egyptian from ASEAN equivalent to about 4.5%, 4% of Egyptian total value of imports. The result indicated that Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia are the most important importer countries of ASEAN for Egyptian exports, The results showed that the trade volume of the Egyptian agricultural products between Egypt and the ASEAN constitute ware about 18.2%, 17.6% of the volume of agricultural trade during (2008-2010, 2011-2013), examining the both sides of the agricultural trade balance between Egypt and the ASEAN showed that the value of Egyptian agricultural exports constitute about 1.9%, 3.6% of the total value of Egyptian agricultural exports during (2008-2010, 2011-2013), and on the other side the value of agricultural imports from ASEAN was about 27%, 23% of the total value of Egyptian agricultural imports, the deficit in agricultural trade balance between Egypt and the ASEAN estimated about 1.29, 1.6 billion
