Effect of some antibiotics and an anti-parasitic on the immune response of rabbtis vaccinated with inactivated rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus vaccine

Abstract: The effect of oxytetracycline hydrochloride long acting, enrofloxacin and ivermectin administered either or after vaccination of rabbit with inactivated rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) vaccine. the administrtaion of oxytetracycline hydrochloride long acting either before or after vaccination of rabbits wiht RHDV did not affect rabbit against RHDV resulted in potentiation of the immune response resulted in high specific HI antibodies titer for RHDV especially at 3rd and 7th days post vaccination. Also administration of enrofloxacin and ivermectin after vaccination of rabbits against RHDV gave the same immunoppotentiation but high specific HI antibody titer for RHDV became more pronounced at 15th and 21st day post vaccination. The immunopotentiation effect on the immune response was clear after comparing the specific HI antibodies titer for RHDV to the vaccinated none treated group.
