The extracts of Fagonia arabica and Anthemis pseudocotula affected adult females and egg stages of Tetranychus urticae. The plant extracts exhibited the highest degree of repellency adult females of T. urticae. The biological aspects of T. urticae adult females affected with different concentrations of F. arabica and A. pseudocotula extract where the treated females longevity and fecundity were decreased comparing with untreated ones. Data revealed that plant extracts were highly toxic against apterous adults of two species of aphids Aphis gossypii and Hyalopterus pruni. The plant extracts caused significant insecticidal toxicity against 2nd larval instar of Spodoptera littoralis.

The toxicity and biochemical effects of methomyl and diazinon insecticides were studied as bait or contact against the different ages of land snails Eobania vermiculata and Monacha obstructa [one month, Six months, adult (9-12) and old adult(over 24 month)]. Results showed that methomyl was more toxic for Eobania vermiculata than Monacha obstructa when used as bait in the all-different ages. Also, Eobania vermiculata was more susceptible than Monacha obstructa to methomyl as contact for the most ages. Regarding diazinon compound, Monacha obstructa was more susceptible to diazinon as bait than Eobania vermiculata at one, three and six month age but vice versa occurred for the old aged animals (over 24 month) and the toxic effect was equal for both species at the adult age. Concerning the contact method, diazinon was more toxic to Eobania vermiculata than Monacha obstructa at the three-month and old ages. It was clear from the results that the young age (one-month) was the most susceptible to both pesticides. Therefore, these results will help in the choice of proper time for pesticide application. Regarding the repellent effect, methomyl was more repellency for Eobania vermiculata than Monacha obstructa while vice versa occurred with diazinon. The effect of both compounds on the biochemical parameters (AchE, LDH, AST, total protein, total lipid) was determined. Results showed a decrease in the AchE activity as a site of action for the both chemicals. However, the results of the other biochemical parameters their activities or the contents were fluctuated according to their age and physiological situation of the test animals. Generally, it could be concluded that the response and susceptibility of snails to pesticides differed according to different parameters i.e. chemical structure of pesticide, method of application, snail species, age of snail and periods after treatment.

Studied were carried out on guava trees (Psidium guajava) at Hannout and Abo- El- Shekok villages, Kafr Saker district, Sharkia Governorate during three successive years (1999, 2000 and 2001) to survey the important scale insects & mealybugs and its associated parasitoids. Seven species of scale insect and mealybugs belong to four families and three parasitoids belong to two families were recorded. Seasonal abundance, number of generations, effects of climatic factors, preferable surface and distribution for both of Hemiberlesia lataniae, Pulvinaria psidii and its associated parasitoids were studied. Relationship between leaves chemical components were estimated. Equilibrium, point was calculated between H. lataniae and its associated parasitoids under field conditions.

Studied the determinate of the effects of three treatments; i.e., chlorpyrifos methyle (a conventional insecticide), Neemazal (1 % A zadirachtin A) the active ingredient of neem plants extract) and Mikrosol (micro-nutrient fertilizer) in cotton plants (Giza 85 variety) on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, flowers and bolls plant, number of % opened bolls, percentages of infestation by Earias insulana and Pectinophora gossypiella and seeded cotton yield were estimated.

Pink sugarcane mealybug, Saccharicoccus sacchari (Cockerll), hibiscus mealybug, Macnellicoccus hirsutus (Green) and seychellarum mealybug, Icerya seychellarum Westwood are of great economic importance on several host plants.
Fortunately, mealybug insects are subject to be attack by several predators, pathogens and parasitoids. So, the role of these natural enemies should be maximized and involved in the integrated control program of these pests.
The present work was conducted in the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University, aiming to survey insect natural enemies (predators and parasitoids) and pathogenic agents which associated with I. seychellarum (on ficus and coral trees), M. hirsutus (on hibiscus plants) and S. sacchari (on sugarcane plants in Dikernes district). Also, to estimate the role of such natural enemies in managing these pests. Also, some laboratory experiments were carried out to investigate the pathogenicity of isolated entomopathogens and to evaluate the searching behavior of the main predators in response to host plant species.
The obtained results could be summarized as follow :-

The red palm weevil Rhynchophorus ferrugineus is the most serious and destructive insect pest for date palm trees in Egypt . this work was undertaken in Ismailia region at district contained highly infested date palm trees with the insect . the aim of this work was to study the of using the aggregation pheromone as monitor to the insect infestation and the role of certain intervening factors
The results indicated the following :
1-Five to six peaks were recorded for in the insect during the period from March to November
2-The numbers of captured females were about twice that of males
3- Significant positive correlation was found between temperature sun shine, and wind velocity in one and number s of captured adults in other side .Relative humidity showed negative correlation.
4-four generation per year were recorded for the adults
5- Significant positive correlation was found between number of damaged trees and the captured adults.
6-The combined effect of both sugarcane stem or sugarcane honey were more attractive capturing than pheromone alone .
7- pheromone release was increased by increasing and wind velocity while decreased humidity.
8- The maximum potenional of cogenesis in ovaries of captured females was recorded during August .
