Virological immunofluorescence histopathological and electron microscopical studies of natural and experimental buffalo pox

Abstract: Buffalo pox virus was isolated from an outbreak of buffalo pox in egypt during december 2000 in a farm within dakahli Governorate The isolated virus was identified by AGPT , EM and IIFT . The isolate was inoculated in rabbits So, this paper describes the results of virological examination and the histological changes accompanied with fluorescent antibody reaction in different tissues of the inoculated rabbits in order to detect the initial site of the buffalo pox virus in such tissues . Ultrastructural changes in inoculated CAM were also determined .
