Value Added Chain of Applying Good Agricultural Practices on Strawberry Crop "case study in Qalyoubia Governorate"

As a result of the export importance of the strawberry crop. the producers and
exporters of this important crop are interested in applying a number of standards
during each stage of production and post-harvest to ensure a healthy and healthy
product for the local market. The main objective of the research is to study the impact of the application of GAP on the production and post-harvest stages of the strawberry crop by studying the structure of the production costs of the strawberry crop and the study of the most important indicators of production efficiency and economy and the role of post-harvest transactions in increasing the value added of strawberry crop. And finally estimating the economic returns of strawberry producers in the local. Arab and European markets. The study found the following results: 1- The profitability of the pound invested: The average of this index rose to a ton of strawberries from 12.5% in case of sale at the farm door to about 15.54% in the case of the domestic market achieving an increase of 3.04. equivalent to 24.23% of its value in case of sale at the farm gate. 2- Ratio of total return to total costs: It is clear that the average of this index per ton of strawberries in the case of export to the English market. German and Belgian was about 520%. 521.1%. 465.29% respectively. an increase of its marketing value in case of sale at the farm gate estimated at 407.50. 408.6. 352.79 respectively. 3- Product profit margin: The average value of this indicator per ton of strawberries in the case of export to the Saudi and UAE market by 71.32%. 64.40% respectively. achieving an increase from the counterpart in case of sale at the farm gate by 60.21. 53.29. respectively. his study recommends that all farmers wishing to apply GAP should be registered to be periodically inspected by an inspector. internal and external. And references to ensure that all practices in the farm are applied and reviewed with the standards of good European agricultural practices and the validity of the product for export. And that the farm obtains a certificate of good agricultural practices which ensures that the crop produced by the farm is healthy and safe in line with international standards and thus can be exported abroad. and also improve the quality of the crop consumed in the sun is soft.
