Objectives

The coast of northern western region is belonging to tropical desert in Egypt which has surrounded by developing poorer rural villages.so, representing sheep and goats are the basis of animal wealth in this region and form about 60% as a source of income bedouin residents. The total numbers of Animal (sheep and goat) were form about (647000) of animal in Matrouh Governorate,(172000) of animal in Alexandria governorate. on the other side, Raising poultry and rabbits are addition income for the people of this region. Therefore, the station activities are aims to research and guidance, according to the environmental conditions of those areas. Also to serve youngster and breeders who are live in those rural villages according to the blan research of animal production research institute.
By following:
* Improving the productivity of local breeds of sheep,goats, poultry and rabbits to improve the methods of rearing and nutrition what commensurate with the environmental conditions prevailing in the regiony.
* Establish new hereditary structures of animals( The use of cross breed between local species and foreign breeds,of highly production).
* Studying of desert plants existing available in abundance in the region of the coast northern western region which could be feeds animals and an attempt to benefit from them by introducing as alternatives animal food.
* Attention is paid towards the use of some agricultural by-products, which are available in these areas of the city at low prices(Date stone and shrubs).
* The use of artificial insemination for the development of genetic structures foreign species(Awassi and Damascus).
* The preparation of training courses and demonstration in coordination with the Animal Production Research Institute train and guide breeders agricultural workers in the governorates of Alexandria, Matrouh.
* Supplying the breeders in the coast northern western region and new reclaimed land with hereditary structures of animal highly production (Awassi, Damascus), also to assist them in the selectionof good sire existing within their herds. As well as supplying sire members of local species which snakes around her inside the station.
* Field visits for breed to publish technical guidance and the environmental conditions surrounding each region .
