The station established in 1986 after the transmission of experiment and studies station related to the New Valley Reclamation Department to Agricultural Research Center (A. R. C) according to R.D. 510/1985.
Since this date, it has the name of Regional Agricultural Research Station. This regional research station through its cooperation with research institutes and research sections in A. R. C. under taken the national research plan of A. R. C., Cairo, Egypt. Such plan aims the development of agriculture in New Valley according to the following:-
