Parasitological and clinicopathological studies on scaly scaly leg diesase in turkeys At Dakahli aprovince

Abstract: this study was carried out for studing the scaly leg disease affecting turkeys where two hundred and five turkeys were randomly collected from different localities in Dakahlia province during aperiod extended fron April 2005 till March the clinical examination revealed that the affected birds were anaemic with scaly hyperkeratosis on the feet and legs pruritis itching weight loss and dyspoea in this study two typs of mite were identified knemidocoptes mutans and petopagus strictus the results indicated in spring and summer 18.46% and 11.27% respectively followed by autumn and winter ( 10% ) and ( 7.01%) respectively Also it was noticed that ivermection 1% at dose of 0.2mg/kg B.w some blood parameters were made before and after treatment .
