الأستاذة الدكتورة سندس عبد التواب محمد حسين
رئيس بحوث متفرغ (أستاذ) بمعهد بحوث وقاية النباتات، وأمتلك خبرة بحثية وعملية ممتدة في مجال علم الحشرات الاقتصادية واستراتيجيات وقاية النبات المستدامة. أعمل على دراسة ومكافحة الآفات الزراعية ذات الأهمية الاقتصادية، مع تركيز تخصصي على تطبيق برامج المكافحة البيولوجية والميكروبية، وتوظيف تقنيات البيولوجيا الجزيئية الحديثة في مجال علم الحشرات.
وقد قمت بقيادة والمشاركة في عدد من المشروعات البحثية الوطنية الممولة، وأسفرت نتائج هذه الأعمال عن نشر العديد من الابحاث العلمية في مجلات علمية متخصصة، تناولت تقييم البدائل الحيوية والمستخلصات النباتية، ودراسة تأثيرها على الخصائص التناسلية والفسيولوجية والبيوكيميائية للآفات الزراعية، بما يسهم في دعم وتطوير نظم وقاية نباتية آمنة ومستدامة.
وإلى جانب مهامي البحثية، أتولى الإشراف العلمي على الباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا، دعمًا لمنظومة البحث العلمي والارتقاء بكفاءة برامج حماية المحاصيل الزراعية.
