استاذ دكتورة مرفت عبد السميع قنديل تعمل رئيس بحوث بمعهد بحوث وقاية النباتات قسم بحوث ديدان اللوز حاصلة علي دكتوراة العلوم الزراعية تخصص المكافحة الحيوية لديدان اللوز. تشمل الاهتمامات البحثية المكافحة المتكاملة لديدان اللوز خاصة المكافحة الحيوية لهذة الافات باستخدام الطفيليات الحشرية و الفطريات و البكتريا. استخدام وسائل صديقة للبيئة في مكافحة ديدان اللوز مثل دراسة تأثير تعرض هذة الافات لمركبات النانو و القنيات الفيزيقية الحديثه لاستخدام المجال المغناطيسي. وكذلك دراسة تأثير الاشعاع علي الافات.
