دكتور علي احمد احمد السيد مشرف يعمل رئيس بحوث بمعهد بحوث وقاية النباتات قسم بحوث ديدان اللوز و رئيس فرع معهد بحوث وقاية النباتات بالشرقية، عضو لجنة تطوير موقع مركز البحوث الزراعية الالكتروني.
تشمل الاهتمامات البحثية المكافحة المتكاملة لديدان اللوز و دراسة تأثير التغيرات المناخية عليها و التوقع المستقبلي لاجيال هذة الحشرات. الدراسات الايكولوجية لديدان اللوز وحساب الاحتياجات الحرارية وصفر النمو لهذة الحشرات بالاضافة الي المكافحة الحيوية لهذة الافات باستخدام الطفيليات الحشرية مثل طفيل تريكوجراما و الفطريات و البكتريا كذلك علاقتها ب Endophytic microbe. التقييم الحيوي للمبيدات علي ديدان اللوز بالاضافة الي التربية الموسعة لديدان اللوز ودودة الحشد الخريفية. تشخيص الافات الحشرية. دراسة تأثير التغيرات المناخية علي الافات. و الاشراف علي عديد من الرسائل العلمية. خبرة في التحليل الاحصائي لتجارب وقاية النباتات. مدرب معتمد حاصل علي دورة TOT. تدريب مطبقي المبيدات علي الاستخدام الامن و منسق البرنامج في محافظة الشرقية.
