Dr. Hany ElMesery is currently a researcher at the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute (AEnRI), Agricultural Research Center (ARC), Egypt.
His work focuses on renewable energy in food processing, implementing energy-efficient processes in the food and beverage industry, biomass energy, food engineering, postharvest technology, and food storage and packaging technology, as well as computer simulation techniques using Machine Learning (ML) algorithms and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Dr. ElMesery's research focuses on designing hybrid systems, including infrared, convection, microwave, heat pump, and solar dryers. His research output demonstrates a keen interest in cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices in the food processing industry. He has authored and published 100 international papers in peer-reviewed, high-impact factor journals, demonstrating his commitment to advancing knowledge and understanding in his field. This has led to his Scopus H-Index of 22; in Google Scholar, he has an H-Index of 26. He has served and continues to serve as an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer, as well as an Executive Editor, of several internationally renowned journals. He has participated in an international project at AEnRI of a research project (Focuses on areas such as smart storage and packaging, agricultural waste recycling, and climate-smart mechanization) funded by Egypt, ASRT, and South Africa, TIA.
