الأستاذ الدكتور/ هاني محمد جلال القواص حاصل علي بكالوريوس العلوم الزراعية (حشرات) - كلية الزراعة جامعة الزقازيق (1995) - حصل علي رسالة الماجستير (2000) - الدكتوراه (2005) في علم الأكاروسات (Acarology) - كلية الزراعة جامعة الأزهر بمدينة نصر.
تخصص في دراساته علي الدراسات الإيكولوجية و البيولوجية للأكاروسات النباتية، المكافحة البيولوجية و الكيماوية للأكاروسات النباتية. و قد إلتحق بمعهد بحوث و قاية النباتات - مركز البحوث الزراعية عام 1996 و تدرج في الدرجات الوظيفية بالمعهد بداية من أخصائي زراعي حتي حصل علي درجة رئيس بحوث عام 2016 و يشغل بداية من ديسمبر 2025 منصب رئيس قسم بحوث أكاروس القطن و المحاصيل. قام بنشر 26 ورقة بحثية و ثلاث كتب في مجال الأكاروسات، و أخيراً تم نشر معجم الأكاروسات (إنكليزي-إنكليزي) مشاركة مع الزملاء د.كعة و د. زياد بربر.
يهتم بالدراسات الإيكولوجية و البيولوجية و المكافحة الحيوية و التقليدية للاكاروسات النباتية.
